The 35th Academy Awards Ceremony was televised by ABC from the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium in Santa Monica, California. Frank Sinatra served as the event's host.


Donna Reed presented the award for Cinematography which went to The Longest Day (Jean Bourgoin, Walter Wottitz, and Henri Persin).
