Donna Reed

Donna Reed (January 27, 1921 - January 14, 1986).

Donna Reed, originally named Donna Belle Mullenger, was an American actress whose career extended over four decades, featuring in over 40 movies. She is renowned for portraying Mary Hatch Bailey in Frank Capra's 1946 film It's a Wonderful Life. In 1953, she won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Lorene Burke in the war drama From Here to Eternity.

She is recognized for her television work, particularly as Donna Stone, a middle-class American mother and housewife in the sitcom The Donna Reed Show (1958–1966), where her character was more assertive than most other TV mothers of that time. Watch a tribute.
