Donna Reed Scholar's Broadway Production Closes.
Broadway said "goodbye, gorgeous" to Funny Girl as the revival played its final performance at the August Wilson Theatre on September 3.
The cast included Tony Award Nominee Jared Grimes, a 2001 Donna Reed Foundation national scholarship recipient in dance. He previously appeared in A Soldier's Play (2020), Holler If Ya Hear Me (2014), and After Midnight (2013).
The production began performances on March 26, 2022, and officially opened on April 24, 2022. When the final curtain came down, the production had played 30 previews and 569 performances. Glee star Lea Michele and four-time Tony nominee Tovah Feldshuh lead the cast as Fanny Brice and Mrs. Brice, respectively, alongside Ramin Karimloo as Nick Arnstein and Jared Grimes as Eddie Ryan.
