Alexander Knox (January 16, 1907 – April 25, 1995).
Alexander Knox was a Canadian actor on stage, screen, and occasionally television. He was nominated for an Oscar and won a Golden Globe for his performance as Woodrow Wilson in the film Wilson (1944).
For most of his career, Knox tended to be typecast as men of integrity (though he did play the odd villain): stern authority figures, psychiatrists, academics, and politicians because of his inherently sincere on-screen personality.
He appears with Donna Reed in the movie Saturday’s Hero (1951).
