Two Donna Reed Scholarship recipients will be part of the 74th annual Tony Awards that takes place in person Sunday, Sept. 26 at Winter Garden Theatre in New York City. After being postponed last year due to the pandemic. the four-hour ceremony will be broadcast live on CBS and Paramount+ starting at 4 p.m. PT/7 p.m. ET.
Presenters will include Santino Fontana, 2000 Donna Reed Foundation national scholarship finalist in acting, and Jared Grimes, 2001 Donna Reed Foundation national scholarship recipient in dance.
Fontana has received a Tony Award, two Drama Desk Awards, an Outer Critics Circle Award, Lortel Award, Obie Award, and Clarence Derwent Award in a mix of straight plays and musicals.
Grimes won a 2018 Jeff award for best choreography in Drurylane theaters' reimagining of 42nd Street The Musical and he won a 2018 Barrymore award for best choreography in The Peoples Light Theater production of Lights Out: Nat King Cole. He currently appears in the cast of the NBC series Manifest in the role of Adrian.
