Betty Marion White Ludden was an American actress and comedian known for her iconic smile and comedic timing. With a television career spanning over 80 years, she worked longer in that medium than anyone else in the television industry. Regarded as a pioneer of television, she was one of the first women to exert control in front of and behind the camera and is recognized as the first woman to produce a sitcom (Life with Elizabeth).
Donna Reed appears with her in The Best Place to Be, a 1979 American TV film produced by Ross Hunter. It marked Donna Reed's return to acting after 13 years.
