Randolph Scott (January 23, 1898 – March 2, 1987).
George Randolph Scott was an American film actor with a career spanning from 1928 to 1962. Except for the initial three years, he was a leading man and appeared in various genres. Nonetheless, he is best remembered as the tall-in-the-saddle Western hero. Of his over 100 film roles, more than 60 were in Westerns.
Donna Reed starred with him in Hangman’s Knot (1952). Variety called it a "slambang western" and said, "Miss Reed is excellent as the ex-Union Army nurse who tends Scott's wounded men."
