Stu Phillips (born September 9, 1929).
Stuart Phillips (born September 9, 1929) is an American composer of film scores and television-series theme music, conductor, and record producer. He is perhaps best known for composing the theme tune to the television series Battlestar Galactica and Knight Rider.
Phillips produced hit songs for The Donna Reed Show and was an early presenter at The Donna Reed Festival held in Denison, Iowa. A short interview in which he describes an appearance by Donna Reed at their baby shower can be found in the special features section at donnareed.org/celebrate.
