It's a Wonderful Life on radio

December 29, 1947 - Screen Guild Players air It's a Wonderful Life.

The Screen Guild Theater was established to generate funds for the Motion Picture Relief Fund, supporting the Motion Picture Country Home. Instead of being paid, the stars' salaries were directed to this fund. The Motion Picture Country Home provided aid to individuals in the film industry, ranging from retired actors to security guards and set designers.

This broadcast of Screen Guild Players marks the second radio adaptation of It's a Wonderful Life. Donna Reed and Jimmy Stewart return to their roles from the film.
