Barbara Bates (August 6, 1925 – March 18, 1969)
Barbara Jane Bates was an American singer and actress, best known for her portrayal of Phoebe in the 1950 drama film All About Eve and as Katy Morgan in It's a Great Life (1954-1956).
Bates co-starred with Donna Reed as the love interests of Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis in the 1953 hit comedy The Caddy. A New York Times review called the film a "scatter-brained fiction" and "cut-to-size Martin-Lewis farce" with Jerry Lewis' antics standing out as the highlight. Donna Reed gets an incidental mention, with no critique of her performance.
