Marjorie Main (February 24, 1890 – April 10, 1975).
Mary Tomlinson, professionally known as Marjorie Main, was an American character actress and singer of the Classical Hollywood period. She's best known as a Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer contract player in the 1940s and 1950s, and for her role as Ma Kettle in ten Ma and Pa Kettle movies.
Donna Reed appears with her in the films Gentle Annie (1944) and The Bugle Sounds (1941). A Variety review said The Bugle Sounds is "packed with sound patriotic fervor, thrills and comedy ... heightened by excellent performances by the stars and balance of the cast."
