Donna Reed & Lana Turner in "Green Dolphin Street"

Lana Turner (February 8, 1921 – June 29, 1995).

Lana Turner, originally named Julia Jean Turner, was an American actress. Over her almost 50-year career, she gained fame as a pin-up model and film actress, along with her widely publicized personal life. During the mid-1940s, she was among the highest-paid actresses in the United States and one of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer's (MGM) leading stars.

Turner stars alongside Donna Reed and Van Heflin in Green Dolphin Street (1947). Initially, Donna was reluctant to accept the role, arguing that audiences wouldn't believe her character's suitor would prefer her over the stunning Lana Turner.
