It's been 70 years since the release of From Here to Eternity and the Palm Springs Culture Center is holding a special screening of the film to celebrate Valentine's Day. Donna Reed won an Academy Award for the film and her daughter, Mary Owen will be on hand to share stories about her mom and the film.
The film resulted in eight Academy Awards out of 13 nominations, including Best Picture, Best Director (Fred Zinnemann), Adapted Screenplay, Supporting Actor (Frank Sinatra), and Supporting Actress (Donna Reed).
